Square Enix has uploaded three lengthy excerpts from The World Ends With You Crossover ~ Tribute, an album due for release on June 19 in Japan, featuring music from the GREE social game and November TWEWY concert. "Revelation" and "March On" are composed by Takeharu Ishimoto and performed by series vocalist Sawa.
Ninja Gaiden's Yamagishi scores Fluffy for iPhone
Ninja Gaiden composer Keiji Yamagishi has provided the music score for developer Vanguard's platforming iPhone app Fluffy. "The reason I chose Fluffy," the composer says, "is that I have never written music for a cute fantasy action game before, though I've long been interested in giving it a go."
Module of Shatter scores Robot Unicorn Attack 2
Jeramiah Ross (Module) was nominated for an Excellence in Audio award for his score to Sidhe's independently developed PlayStation Network title Shatter. The New Zealand-based musician has partnered with Adult Swim to score Robot Unicorn Attack 2, currently free to download for iOS mobile devices.
Hiversaires iOS adventure game score streaming online
French Canadian multimedia artist Aliceffekt has uploaded a soundtrack preview for his iOS adventure game Hiversaires. The seven-minute electronic music track is currently streaming on YouTube, while the full game has been made available for purchase through the iTunes Store as of April 20.
Square Enix posts Theatrhythm Final Fantasy EP quartet
Square Enix has released two pairs of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy EPs through iTunes, designated BMS (battle tracks), EMS (event scenes), FMS (field tracks) and Chaos Shrine mode. Music from the Nintendo 3DS and iOS title is by Nobuo Uematsu, Naoshi Mizuta, Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masashi Hamauzu.
Celebrate Xevious's 30th with Namco's iOS Sound Player
Coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the classic arcade shooter Xevious, the Namco Bandai netlabel Namco Sounds has released the Namco Sound Player for iPhone and iPad. The iOS application allows you reproduce the sounds and music of Xevious by tapping buttons on the touchscreen of your mobile device.
Final Fantasy V released for iPhone and iPad
Square Enix has released the iOS port of classic Super Famicom role-playing game Final Fantasy V, available in English-language territories for iPhone and iPad. Illustrator Kazuko Shibuya redesigned the character art for the mobile port, also featuring the original score by Nobuo Uematsu.
TWEWY Crossover ~ Tribute live album announced

ilomilo's Daniel Olsén publishes Year Walk soundtrack
Daniel Olsén, the composer of Southend Interactive's score for the puzzle game ilomilo, has published the soundtrack to Simogo Games' eerie iOS puzzler Year Walk. The 19-track score informed by Swedish folk music can be streamed in full through Bandcamp, featuring the song "Oh the Joy" by Jonathan Eng.
NightSky by Nifflas ported to iPad
NightSky by Nifflas of Knytt Underground has been ported to iPhone and iPad. The original ambient soundtrack by musician Chris Schlarb, developed for the Windows release available through Steam, can be streamed in full on Bandcamp along with the composer's collaborative studio album Psychic Temple.
Eirik Suhrke releases Ridiculous Fishing soundtrack
Super Crate Box and Spelunky composer Eirik Suhrke (also known as Phlogiston) has published the 14-track soundtrack to the recently released Ridiculous Fishing, available to stream in full through Bandcamp. The 2012 IGF Best Mobile Game finalist was developed by Vlambeer for iPhone and iPad devices.
Kenij Eno, unorthodox game creator, passes away
Kenji Eno, designer of the Sega Saturn titles D and Enemy Zero starring digital actress Laura, passed away on Wednesday from heart failure. He was 42. A musician with a passion for game scores, he wrote original music for Sega Rally 2 and D, and worked with film composer Michael Nyman on Enemy Zero.
Derris-Kharlan releases Time Surfer soundtrack
Melbourne-based game composer Derris-Kharlan (Nathan Antony) has released the three-track soundtrack to the iOS title Time Surfer, developed by Kumobius. Available to stream in full and purchase in your file format of choice through Bandcamp, the album is mastered by cTrix and includes cover design by James Greenaway.
