Hip-hop artist Random, aka Mega Ran, has released a new rap song for "pay what you want" from the Mega Ran 5th Anniversary cover album, due out July 12. "Take Your Turn," produced by DN3, samples Bomb Man's stage theme from Mega Man, composed by Manami Matsumae while in-house at Capcom.

UK hip-hop duo High Frequency Bandwidth has released Sidetracks - Music from Sidescroller through iTunes. The album features music from Q-Games' PixelJunk SideScroller for PlayStation Network and shares compositional elements with the scores to the two PixelJunk Shooter titles by the Kyoto game studio.
Language Arts' 1st Day of School music video
Game-inspired hip-hop artist Random, aka Mega Ran, has uploaded the official music video for his song "First Day of School," directed and edited by Tom Larkin of Phoenix, Arizona. The song appears on the first of three planned Language Arts EPs, part of a multimedia project bridging music, comics and videogames.
PixelJunk SideScroller album teaser
Alex Paterson and Dom Beken of UK hip-hop duo High Frequency Bandwidth have uploaded a four-minute cross-fade sample previewing the soundtrack album to Q-Games' PixelJunk SideScroller for PlayStation 3. "Sidetracks - Music from Sidescroller," the successor to "HFB Pixel Junked," is due out on June 25.

"Wake Up!" is a rap song about getting out of bed, featuring nerdcore rapper MC Frontalot and piano by Super Meat Boy composer Danny Baranowsky.

To mark the occasion, the rapper has uploaded a free download to Bandcamp, titled "Up Up Down Down." The song is produced by DN3, written by Random, and with additional vocals by MC Pennywise (Writers Guild.)
