1H1D!!! Vol. 29 set for April 13 at Cafe la Siesta
All night chip music party 1H1D!!! Vol. 29 will take place on Saturday, April 13. Guest artists KUNIO, 200Gavas and Duran will join crew members DJ Master Kohta, KAZ a.k.a.HIGE, NNNNNNNNNN, Fish Oil, Toriena, and other Kansai area chiptune artists at the game culture hangout spot Cafe la Siesta in Kyoto.
Kyoto-based chiptune netlabel Madmilky Records opens
Kyoto-based Game Boy artists Toriena and NNNNNNNNNN have launched chiptune netlabel Madmilky Records, dedicated to the creation of battery powered dance music. The label's debut release is Over Sleep Insomniac Maiden, composed by Blip Festival Tokyo featured artist Toriena, which includes four free-to-download mp3 files.
Toriena's 2.5D chip performance to stream on Ustream
Kyoto chiptune artist Toriena will play a live Game Boy set today at the Studio 2.5 D venue in Tokyo to mark the opening of Zigg.jp, a girls' DIY culture website. Music performances by the 1H1D!!! party regular and four additional artists will be broadcast live on Ustream, beginning at 7:00 pm JST.

1H1D!!! Vol.28 has begun at Cafe la Siesta in Kyoto, Japan, streaming live over Ustream. Chip musicians scheduled to perform at the event include guests ajiponn and storz, along with regulars USK, KAZ a.k.a.HIGE, BEN, DJ Master Kohta, NNNNNNNNNN, dj.p.k.g., FISH OIL, NMX and TORIENA.
Otherman delivers Chiptunes Change Christmas
Otherman Records has released Chiptunes Change Christmas for free download, a yuletide bundle of chip music tracks curated by Tokyo artist Storz. The glitchtacular collection combines boisterous holiday-themed remixes and wintry original tunes by Blip Festival Tokyo performers Orloc, Toriena, Abortifacient and NNNNNNNNNN.
Big Brother uploads Final Cartridge EP
Game cover artist Foilverb / Big Brother, who arranged the vocal track "Path of Scylla" found on Hydorah Arranged Tracks, has uploaded the four-track Final Cartridge EP to Bandcamp. Produced by Last Parade Records, the album features cover art by fellow 1H1D!!! chiptune party artist TORIENA.
Toriena's first album posted to Bandcamp
Kyoto-based chip musician Toriena, who performed last week at the 2012 Blip Festival Tokyo concert, has uploaded her debut album to Bandcamp. Titled "Black Dance Hole," (the second syllables of "Black Hole" and "Dance Hall" are identical in Japanese) the ten-track collection is available to stream in full online.

The partial lineup has been announced for the 2012 Blip Festival Tokyo chip music concert. The show, announced today as the last installment of the Blip Festival event series for the foreseeable future, will be taking place at the Koenji High venue on October 20 and 21, 2012.
