Skype Conference 2012: Darren Korb
Bastion composer Darren Korb is joining Skype Conference 2012 as the second announced guest. Backers of the Winter Bundle's Skype chat on Kickstarter are invited to participate and receive a recording of the talk. (Three additional guest musicians will also be taking part in the remaining unannounced sessions.)

Bastion composer Darren Korb of Supergiant Games received the 2012 Game Audio Network Guild award for Rookie of the Year. Previous recipients include Christopher Tin (Civilization IV) and Austin Wintory (Journey).

Independent developer Supergiant Games of Bastion received the 2012 Game Audio Network Guild award for best indie game soundtrack. Accepting the award at the Game Developers Conference were composer Darren Korb and narrator Logan Cunningham.

Supergiant Games has uploaded a new video of two pieces performed by the makers of Bastion from the soundtrack album. The movie marks the first time audio director and composer Darren Korb and vocalist Ashley Barrett have been filmed playing music from the game.

Supergiant Games audio director Darren Korb will be presenting at the 2012 Game Developers Conference. The lecture "Build That Wall: Creating the Audio for Bastion" will cover steps in the musician's creative process, from crafting the title's "eclectic acoustic frontier trip-hop soundtrack and haunting vocal melodies, to its innovative reactive narration and sound effects."
Bastion wins VGA awards for soundtrack and song
Spike has given the 2011 Video Game Award for best original score to Supergiant Games' Bastion. "Build that Wall (Zia's Theme)" by Darren Korb, also from Bastion, won best song in a game.
