FAMI-MODE radio program on Noise Channel
The newest installment of the Noise Channel radio program, hosted by TrueStar, features the FAMI-MODE 2012 Live Recordings. Music from the show by Kplecraft, Omodaka, Professor Sakamoto and Sexy-Synthesizer is included in the Nubuwo Winter Bundle, approaching its fundraising deadline on Kickstarter.
Announcing the FAMI-MODE 2012 DVD
Today we are pleased to announce a collaboration with the METEOR game culture shop in Tokyo to create the FAMI-MODE 2012 DVD. Crowdfunding through Kickstarter this month, the movie features live performances by Sexy-Synthesizer, Omodaka, Penny and Ashtray, Kplecraft and Professor Sakamoto.
Final Fantasy IX Chips features Far East Recording
Final Fantasy IX Chips has been listed on the Square Enix e-Store for release on September 19. The chiptune arrange album will feature 8-bit styled covers of music from the PlayStation title by guest artists ajiponn, Xinon, mochilon and Far East Recording (aka Omodaka), as well as Sexy-Synthesizer.
Final Fantasy VII Chips album announced
Square Enix will be following up chiptune cover album Final Fantasy XI Chips with four additional chip music releases. Final Fantasy VII Chips has been added to the company's e-Store for release on September 19, featuring arrangements of music from the PlayStation RPG by Sexy-Synthesizer and DJ OMKT of SQ Chips.
2.5D's MOtOLOiD Chiptune Festival bound for Ustream
Studio 2.5D's MOtOLOiD chip music party will take place on July 28 in Tokyo. The live performance will feature Rokko Chan Soundtracks arrangers Saitone, Omodaka and show producer Hige Driver, along with Sexy-Synthesizer, Xinon, Hally and VJ KEI. Join the live Ustream from 6:00 to 10:00 AM, Eastern Standard Time.
Square Enix announces Final Fantasy XI chiptune cover album
Prior to the appearance of SQ Chips 2, Square Enix will be releasing another chiptune cover album. The 10-track Final Fantasy XI Chips goes on sale on July 13 in Japan and will be treating music from the massively multiplayer game to chip music arrangements by Sexy-Synthesizer, Bokkadenci and W2X.
SQ Chips 2 samples streaming online
Square Enix has renewed their official website for SQ Chips 2. The chiptune arrange album, treating classic Square game themes to 8-bit variations, will debut on July 25 in Japan, featuring chip remixes by Sexy-Synthesizer, Hige Driver, Hally, Saitone, Kplecraft, YMCK and Bokkadenci.
Touch My Katamari Soundtrack 2 on iTunes
Namco Bandai Games' netlabel Namco Sounds has published the second soundtrack to PlayStation Vita title Touch My Katamari, which is currently the only album related to the game available for digital download. The 11-track collection includes music by Yu Miyake and Sexy-Synthesizer.
SQ Chips 2 preliminary track list revealed
Square Enix's latest chiptune arrange album, remixing themes from classic Square games, is due for release in Japan on July 25. Online retail stores have posted a preliminary track list for SQ Chips 2, revealing the participation of chip music artists Hally, Kplecraft, YMCK, Sexy-Synthesizer, Bokkadenci and Hige Driver.

Sexy-Synthesizer's Sexual Healing remix surpasses 100,000 plays
Sexy-Synthesizer's chiptune remix of Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing" has racked up over one hundred thousand plays on SoundCloud, practically overnight, after being featured on Boing Boing. The cover first appeared on the artist's Dirty Synthesizer music compilation.
ROCK by Sexy-Synthesizer on Bandcamp
The 19-track album ROCK Deluxe Edition by Sexy-Synthesizer is now available to stream in full and purchase on Bandcamp. Music is by Takeshi Nagai, whose arrangements can be heard on Love SQ, SQ Chips and the Touch My Katamari soundtrack.
