METEOR has posted an eleven-minute digest video of footage from last year's Fami-Mode 8-bit culture festival. The movie contains clips of stage performances by Sexy-Synthesizer, Bourbon Kobayashi, Kplecraft, Consumers, Craftwife+Kaseo+, smallest and Omodaka.
Tokyo's METEOR game culture shop is preparing its next annual all-night Fami-Mode Famicom party, which will take place at the Star Pine's Cafe in Kichijouji on January 28, 2012.
The Japan Times conducted an interview with Omodaka, a Tokyo-based chiptune artist who combines electronic music with traditional Japanese folk songs. According to the artist, "When the idea came to me to mix minyo and chiptune, I just had to do it."
