Mega Rock Fan Festa live Rockman event set for June
The Mega Rock Fan Festa has been slated for June 29 in Tokyo, which will include a talk session by Mega Man 9 sound director Ippo Yamada. The event will showcase music performances by tom2 of the Akihabara Game Song DJ Bar event series, along with NSF Music Collective members Hally, Bun, Robokabuto and Tappy.

Sabaco hosts CheapBeats 6 chiptune event
Sabaco of Waseda, Tokyo will be host to the Cheapbeats 6 chiptune event, taking place Saturday, January 26 at 5:00 pm. The show will offer live chip music by Hally (Chiptuned Rockman), Bun (Final Fantasy X Chips), Aliceffect, Cheapshot and Minikomi (Blip Festival Tokyo) as well as visuals by m7kenji (FAMI-MODE).
Famicom MAD NES 2 scheduled for 12/22
Tokyo’s second installment of the Famicom MAD NES chip music party is scheduled for December 22 in Kawasaki. We will be posting coverage following the show, featuring live performances by Rokko Chan Soundtracks arrangers Omodaka (Far East Recording), Tanikugu, Robokabuto and Lazerbeat on visuals.
FAMI-MODE 2013 scheduled for January 26
Tokyo's METEOR game culture shop will hold their annual all-night 8-bit party on January 26, 2013 at the Star Pine's Cafe venue in Kichijouji, Tokyo. This year the featured live music acts include game-inspired artists Omodaka, Sexy-Synthesizer, Kplecraft, Bokkadenci and JulieHally × Cartier Santos Sweet Lady.

Square Enix has renewed their official website for SQ Chips 2. The chiptune arrange album, treating classic Square game themes to 8-bit variations, will debut on July 25 in Japan, featuring chip remixes by Sexy-Synthesizer, Hige Driver, Hally, Saitone, Kplecraft, YMCK and Bokkadenci.
