Vanillaware's Muramasa and Dragon's Crown trailers
Vanillaware's opening movie from Muramasa Rebirth for the PlayStation Vita portable console and Dragon's Crown trailer are now available to view on YouTube. Music is by composer Hitoshi Sakimoto, with Basiscape musicians Masaharu Iwata, Mitsuhiro Kaneda, Kimihiro Abe, Noriyuki Kamikura, Azusa Chiba and Yoshimi Kudo.
Magical Chase music samples on Basiscape website
Tokyo-based music studio Basiscape has added to their store page five music samples from the soundtrack to PC engine shooter Magical Chase, composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata for Quest in 1991. The 26-track album was released on Sakimoto's birthday, including seven new arrangements by Basiscape staff.
SuperSweep Ustream previews Magical Chase album
Shinji Hosoe and Yosuke Yasui of Tokyo-based record label SuperSweep are hosting a preview of upcoming albums on the Tobidase SuperSweep Ustream channel. Special guests Masaharu Iwata and Basiscape are introducing the upcoming Magical Chase (1991) soundtrack album, including new arrangements by the studio.
Muramasa Rebirth announced for PlayStation Vita
Aksys Games has acquired the rights to publish Muramasa Rebirth in English-language regions later this year for the PlayStation Vita. The port of the Nintendo Wii title developed by Vanillaware with Marvelous AQL features music by Odin Sphere composer Hitoshi Sakimoto and Tokyo-based music studio Basiscape.

Marvelous AQL has added a music player to the upper right corner of the website for PlayStation Vita title Muramasa, streaming five tracks from the soundtrack. Due out March 28 in Japan for Sony's portable console, the action title features music by Hitoshi Sakimoto and Tokyo-based sound studio Basiscape.
Piano Collections Final Fantasy XII on iTunes
Square Enix has published the digital soundtrack album Piano Collections Final Fantasy XII through iTunes, featuring piano renditions of music from the PlayStation 2 role-playing game. Brief samples of each of the thirteen music tracks, composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto and arranged by Casey Ormond, are currently available online.

Composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto and arranged by Casey Ormond of Valkyria Chronicles Piano Pieces, the single-disc arrange album is due for release on November 7 in Japan.

Team Entertainment has posted samples of all tracks from the two Mega Man 1~10 remix albums due out this week in Japan. The Rockman Rock and Rockman Techno 25th Anniversary arrange albums feature music by game composers Shinji Hosoe, Yoshitaka Hirota, Nobuyoshi Sano and Far East Recording.
Basiscape contributing music to Orgarhythm
Vagrant Story composer Hitoshi Sakimoto and Tokyo-based sound studio Basiscape will be contributing music to the PlayStation Vita rhythm strategy title Orgarhythm. Basiscape joins Hideki Sakamoto of the echochrome series and Nobuyoshi Sano of the Korg DS-10 music generation software as guest artists.

Tokyo-based record label Team Entertainment has detailed the lineup of guest artists appearing on Mega Man 1~10 arrange album "25th Anniversary Rockman Rock Arrange," due out October 10. Guest arrangers include Basiscape game composers Hitoshi Sakimoto, Mitsuhiro Kaneda, Yoshimi Kudo and Azusa Chiba.

Completionists rejoice! The Final Fantasy series' sole holdout for an official piano covers collection will soon be making its way to music stores in Japan. Piano Collections Final Fantasy XII will contain new renditions of music composed by Basiscape's Hitoshi Sakimoto, also of Final Fantasy Tactics.
