The musical destinations of Digital Voyages
Backers who pledge $12 or more to support the Nubuwo Summer Bundle Kickstarter initiative will receive a download code for the Digital Voyages pack. The successor to the previous bundle's Digital Adventures album, "Voyages" includes music from independent game titles, Nubuwo multimedia projects, and miscellaneous game-inspired tunes.
Featured in the compilation are ten music tracks by Carlo Castellano, a Naples-based graduate of the Berklee College of Music with a concentration in game audio. Seven pieces are from Invaders Corruption, a procedurally generated arena shooter. Three pieces will be featured in Facepalm Games' The Swapper, which has received the support of the prestigious Indie Fund (Antichamber, Monaco, Dear Esther.) At the bottom of this post are embedded two of the composer's lighthearted Final Fantasy game covers.
Also included in the Digital Voyages pack are six chip music pieces by Mark DeNardo from the twisted 8-bit Adult Swim browser game Cream Wolf. The title is a collaboration between indie developers Pixeljam (Dino Run) and Mark Essen (Nidhogg). The composer played the most recent Blip Festival concert in New York with his band Graffiti Monsters and is currently at work on the James Kolchaka-illustrated Pixeljam game Glorkian Warrior.
