Takeaki Kunimoto Works promo video

Tokyo-based label Sweeprecord will publish the single-disc album Takeaki Kunimoto Works ~Sheep's Hill~, joining Manabu Namiki Works Volumes 1 and 2 as part of the publisher's Game Music Discovery Series.

The recordings present on the release include original pieces, in addition to contemporary arrangements of music from classic Hudson Soft games Challenger, Star Soldier, Milon's Secret Castle and Starship Hector, performed at a live venue. A six-minute crossfade video sampling music from the ten-track album can be found on YouTube.

Takeaki Kunimoto Works is due out August 3 in Japan, with performances by Takeaki Kunimoto (aka Kinoko Kunimoto) and Shawn Phase of Temp Sound Solutions, among other game-inspired artists.
