Earthbound Papas score Unchained Blades sequel
Final Fantasy series composer Nobuo Uematsu will be writing the main theme for developer Furyu's portable role-playing game Unchain Blades EXXIV. The sequel to Unchained Blades, distributed in English language regions by Xseed Games, features a music score by the musician's band Earthbound Papas.
La-Mulana release trailer
Nigoro's archaeological adventure game La-Mulana will debut on July 13 with the opening of Playism's English language localization website. The developers have uploaded a release trailer for the PC title, outlining the history behind the MSX-sytled game, its WiiWare remake and the upcoming desktop port.
Final Fantasy series 25th Anniversary trailers
Square Enix has uploaded 14 trailers to YouTube to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Final Fantasy role-playing game series. Music for Final Fantasy I-III (Famicom), Final Fantasy IV-VI (Super Famicom) and Final Fantasy VII-IX (Sony PlayStation) is by series composer Nobuo Uematsu.
Dyad due out July 17 on PlayStation Network
The official PlayStation Blog has revealed a July 17 release date for PlayStation Network title Dyad. A release trailer for Shawn McGrath's psychedelic racer, which will feature 1080p, 60fps visuals and wholly uncompressed audio, can be viewed on YouTube. Dynamic audio for the game is by David Kanaga.
Closure kicks off PSN summer sale
Closure, recipient of the excellence in audio award at the 14th annual Independent Games Festival, is available for a reduced price on the PlayStation Network through July 9. Composer Christoper Rhyne has added "Carnival du Noir - Solo Piano" to the soundtrack album, available for "name your price."

Retro videogame-inspired music video "Glory of the Commute" features pixel art animation by Blip Festival VJ m7kenji. A collaboration between musicians DOTAMA and USK, the 8-bit visuals tell the story in the style of a classic sidescroller of a salaryman taking the train to his office building.
Man with the Iron Fists debut trailer
Game composer Howard Drossin (Splatterhouse, Afro Samurai) is co-composing the score for The Man with the Iron Fists with music producer and actor RZA, the director of the film. The martial arts action movie, set in feudal China, stars Russell Crowe, Jamie Chung and Lucy Liu.
Fatshark's Krater soundtrack on Steam
Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 developer Fatshark has released Krater on Steam, together with the downloadable game soundtrack. The post-apocalyptic action RPG by the Swedish design team features music by Christian Gabel, Jonas Hellberg, Sebastian Thott and Game Boy composer nordloef.
Crimson Shroud soundtrack on iTunes
Basiscape has released the soundtrack to strategy game Crimson Shroud, included in Level-5's Nintendo 3DS compilation Guild 01. Brief samples are available on iTunes, while five music tracks by Hitoshi Sakimoto, Mitsuhiro Kaneda and Azusa Chiba can also be sampled via the official soundtrack webpage.

Brent "brentalfloss" Black, best known for adding lyrics to classic videogame tunes on his Youtube-based "With Lyrics" series, has released the album "Bits of Me" through iTunes and Amazon mp3. A selection from among the 18 music tracks by the parodist is available to stream in full on Bandcamp.

Game composer Eiko Ishiwata's newly released seven-track album follows the Aycomusic Fantasy Collection, featuring compositions inspired by the Final Fantasy game series. Chrysalis combines acoustic, post-rock and electronic sounds into a unique listening experience.

Soul Hackers' Sega Saturn vs Nintendo 3DS gameplay comparison videos
Atlus has updated the official website for the enhanced port of Soul Hackers with lengthy comparison videos between the Sega Saturn and Nintendo 3DS editions of the role-playing game. Viewable in the New Elements' Play Ability section of the site, the movies preview the title's first-person battle scenes.
