PixelJunk SideScroller album teaser
Alex Paterson and Dom Beken of UK hip-hop duo High Frequency Bandwidth have uploaded a four-minute cross-fade sample previewing the soundtrack album to Q-Games' PixelJunk SideScroller for PlayStation 3. "Sidetracks - Music from Sidescroller," the successor to "HFB Pixel Junked," is due out on June 25.
Splice pre-orders include soundtrack album
Splice pre-orders on Steam currently include the soundtrack album for the puzzle game for Mac and PC. Splice together strands of DNA within a microbial environment in Cipher Prime Studios' latest release, due out June 13. The music track "Cassiel" is currently free to download from Bandcamp.
Q-Games staff members form Electric Bends band
Staff members Dylan Cuthbert, Eddie Lee, Jaymin Kessler, kalin and Paul Leonard of Kyoto-based independent game studio Q-Games have formed the Electric Bends band, and released an album through Bandcamp, titled "real.time." Music by the designers of PixelJunk SideScroller is recorded live in a single take during their lunch break.
Patricio Meneses scores Zeno Clash II
Zeno Clash and Rock of Ages composer Patricio Meneses of Santiago, Chile is writing original music for Zeno Clash II. Developer Ace Team is demoing a pre-alpha build of the first-person combat title at the E3 2012 Atlus booth, aiming for an early 2013 release on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC.
Rokko Chan Soundtracks preview disc headed for E3
Preview discs containing twenty music tracks from Rokko Chan Soundtracks will be made available during E3 in Los Angeles. Pick up a sampler for the compilation, featuring arrangements of music by Hokkaido-based composer Asagen, by tweeting at @nobuooo during the trade show at the LA Convention Center.
6955 releases OUT2ep through Bandcamp
Game composer Jason DeGroot (6955) has released an EP through Bandcamp titled OUT2ep. The six-track music collection includes "vrsmmz," which appears in a King of Games 25th Anniversary Zelda t-shirts promo, as well as "dt_01f," found in the iPad game Pulse by developer Cihper Prime.
Secret of Mana Genesis teaser site debuts
Square Enix has launched a teaser website for arrange album Secret of Mana Genesis, produced by Hiroki Kikuta. The album is planned for release on August 8, featuring variations on "Fear of the Heavens," "Into the Thick of It," and other music tracks from the Super Nintendo action role-playing game Secret of Mana.
Zack Parrish releases Soundstory soundtrack
Antipole composer Zack Parrish has released the soundtrack to iOS title Soundstory through Bandcamp, a collaboration with game designer Matthew LoPresti of ASYNC Corp. The game score is inspired by retro Super Nintendo titles, including Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana.
Indie Game Music Bundle 3 launches

Jeramiah Ross, aka Module, received an Independent Games Festival nomination for his music for the PlayStation Network title Shatter. C418 and Anosou share Catacomb Snatch soundtrack
In February, the Minecraft developers at Mojang created Catacomb Snatch as their entry in the 2012 Mojam charity project. The soundtrack to the shoot 'em up strategy game by Mattias Häggström Gerdt (Anosou) and Daniel Rosenfeld (C418) is currently available for free download via Bandcamp.

Jordan Steven has released the soundtrack to The Lost Angelic Chronicles of Frane: Dragons' Odyssey, available for iOS devices and PCs. Previously having contributed arrangements to OverClocked Remix as bLiNd, the musician's 38-track game score is inspired by classic JRPG soundtracks.
