Final Fantasy VIII Chips features Bokkadenci
Final Fantasy VIII Chips is due for release on September 19, unveiled earlier today on the Square Enix e-Store. The arrange album will feature chiptune covers of Nobuo Uematsu's compositions from the PlayStation role-playing game, reinterpreted in 8-bit style by Bokkadenci and Kplecraft.
Final Fantasy VII Chips album announced
Square Enix will be following up chiptune cover album Final Fantasy XI Chips with four additional chip music releases. Final Fantasy VII Chips has been added to the company's e-Store for release on September 19, featuring arrangements of music from the PlayStation RPG by Sexy-Synthesizer and DJ OMKT of SQ Chips.
Rokko Chan Original Soundtrack mastered release available for "name your price" on Bandcamp

Blip Festival Tokyo 2012 full lineup revealed
Chip music collective 8bitpeoples has announced the full lineup for the Blip Festival Tokyo 2012 concert, described as the last planned installment of the Blip Festival concert series. Artists performing at Koenji High on October 20 and 21 include Bit Shifter, Nullsleep, Sulumi, Bud Melvin, Covox and NNNNNNNNNN.
