Tokyo-based music studio Basiscape has added to their store page five music samples from the soundtrack to PC engine shooter Magical Chase, composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata for Quest in 1991. The 26-track album was released on Sakimoto's birthday, including seven new arrangements by Basiscape staff.

The Avex record label has uploaded 14 samples from the two-disc soundtrack to Level-5's Fantasy Life for the Nintendo 3DS portable console. The original score is composed by Final Fantasy series composer Nobuo Uematsu and features arrangements by Tsutomu Narita and Michio Okamiya of the Earthbound Papas band.

A musician with a passion for game scores, he wrote original music for Sega Rally 2 and D, and worked with film composer Michael Nyman on Enemy Zero.
