Special guests Masaharu Iwata and Basiscape are introducing the upcoming Magical Chase (1991) soundtrack album, including new arrangements by the studio.
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance vocal samples online
Konami has posted six one-minute samples from the Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Vocal Tracks album to YouTube. The 29-track release, featuring music from Platinum Games' Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 action title composed by Lineage II co-composer Jamie Christopherson, is due out February 21 in Japan.
Akihabara's Game Song DJ Bar sets on SoundCloud
The Game Song DJ Bar event takes place each week at the Mogra music venue, located in Tokyo's Akihabara electronics store district. Several archived performances by Masao and Mohiron are streaming on SoundCloud, featuring music themes from classic games, including Parodius, Stinger and Space Invaders.
Mega Ran & Urizen shows streaming live from Rockage
Game-inspired artists Mega Ran, Dr. Awkward and Urizen will be performing at the Rockage 2.0 retro gaming festival in San Jose, beginning at 12:30 pm Pacific Standard Time. The performances, along with a rock cover speedrun of Castlevania by Bit Brigade, are being broadcast live online via TwitchTV.

Professor Sakamoto's February 9th installment of Prof.Sakamoto's Game Music Show has been archived on Ustream. The latest show broadcast from Tokyo features two hours of live keyboard arrangements, including music from NES titles Castlevania II, Goonies II, Mega Man 2, Final Fantasy II and R.B.I. Baseball.
Wayô Records distributing Ni no Kuni soundtrack
France's Wayô Records, organizers of Masashi Hamauzu and Michiru Oshima Paris concerts, are the exclusive distributors outside Japan of the Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch soundtrack CD. "The music was meant to have a certain elegance," says composer Joe Hisaishi, "based on traditional folk music, of Ireland and elsewhere."
Ridiculon scores Mew-Genics by Team Meat
Matthias Bossi and John Evans of Ridiculon are scoring the soundtrack to Team Meat's Mew-Genics, planned for release on iPad and PCs. Designed by Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes of Super Meat Boy, the game has appropriately enough evolved out of an evolution-themed Ludum Dare 24 dev competition prototype.
Steam database listings elicit Dyad PC reveal
NeoGAF poster Stumpokapow posted a slew of unusual Steam Apps Database listings, including a purported PC release for PlayStation Network psychedelic racer Dyad. Developer Shawn McGrath has responded by formally (through a stream-of-consciousness YouTube vlog) confirming the port's planned release in March.
Soul Sacrifice main theme orchestral video
Sony has posted a three-minute video documenting the orchestral performance of the main theme to Soul Sacrifice, composed by Yasunori Mitsuda and conducted by Wataru Hokoyama. The action role-playing game is due out March 7 in Japan, exclusively for the PlayStation Vita portable console.
MAGFest Presents: Game Over Austin live on Ustream

Developed by Tri-Ace, Frontier Gate Boost+ features original and arranged music by Naoyuki Sato (known also by the fearsome moniker NEKOMATA-Master).
