Square Enix has launched the webpage for arrange album Piano Opera Final Fantasy I/II/III, due out February 29, 2012 in Japan. A track list has been posted, revealing that the thirteen tracks performed by Hiroyuki Nakayama will include "Matoya's Theme" and "Mount Gulug" from Final Fantasy I.

The Square Enix Music Blog has posted an email interview in English and Japanese with Shootie HG (Shawn McPherson). The artist arranged the hard rock theme "Crazy Chocobo," composed by Nobuo Uematsu, found in Final Fantasy XIII-2. Previously he contributed vocals and lyrics for two songs featured in Devil May Cry 4, and served a similar role for a track found in Marvel vs Capcom 3.

Game arrange circle Woodsoft will be debuting their Castlevania tribute compilation "Chronicles of the Past" at Comic Market 81 in Tokyo, Japan on December 31. Namco Sounds has released the soundtrack to Tekken 4 through iTunes. The 42-track album from the arcade and PlayStation 2 fighting game by Namco Bandai Games features music by Yu Miyake, Akitaka Tohyama and Satoru Kosaki, originally released on two compact discs in 2002.

Namco Bandai Games' digital distribution label Namco Sounds has released the soundtrack to Tekken 3 on iTunes. The 45-track album includes both arcade and PlayStation 2 renditions of themes from the fighting game soundtrack, composed by Nobuyoshi Sano, Keiichi Okabe, Hiroyuki Kawada, Minamo Takahashi and Yu Miyake. Earlier this week, Square Enix streamed a forty-minute mixtape of numerous music tracks from their latest role-playing game for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 during a Ustream event. Today that program, "Final Fantasy XIII-2 Mitsuto Suzuki Balearic Mix," has been uploaded to Square Enix's YouTube channel, previewing music from the soundtrack by Suzuki, Naoshi Mizuta and Masashi Hamauzu.

Hideyuki Fukasawa's first soundtrack album since Street Fighter IV is due for release in Japan on March 8 as part of the Street Fighter X Tekken Collector's Pack. The fighting game bundle for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will come with a two-disc, 46-track album, along with a 44-page art book.
