Square Enix has launched the official website for arrange album Battle SQ. Artists arranging music for the battle-themed compilation, featuring melodies from classic Square games, include Novoiski, millstones and SmileR. The album is due out July 4 in Japan, with cover art by Ryohei Yamashita.

Atlus announced at the E3 Expo earlier today that the publisher will be localizing Nintendo 3DS role-playing brawler Code of Princess, developed by Guardian Heroes​ staff members at Agatsuma Entertainment. A boxed set, including the game, art book and soundtrack CD, will debut fall 2012.

Staff members Dylan Cuthbert, Eddie Lee, Jaymin Kessler, kalin and Paul Leonard of Kyoto-based independent game studio Q-Games have formed the Electric Bends band, and released an album through Bandcamp, titled "real.time." Music by the designers of PixelJunk SideScroller is recorded live in a single take during their lunch break.

The six-minute video includes arrangements of "Clash on the Big Bridge," "Dancing Mad" and "One-Winged Angel" composed by Nobuo Uematsu for Final Fantasy V, VI and VII.
