DJ Kaya's Military Tune EP remixes PS1 era Square
DJ Kaya has released an EP of PlayStation era Square remixes through iTunes, entitled Military Tune Lost Memories. "A Chance Meeting" from Threads of Fate and "Manifold Irons" from Front Mission first appeared on Square Enix's 2012 Tokyo Game Show Sampler CD and on the digital soundtrack to Front Mission Evolved.
Banjo-Kazooie Symphony arrange album announced
The Blake Robinson Synthetic Orchestra responsible for last month's Super Metroid Symphony album will be releasing Banjo-Kazooie Symphony on May 31. The arrange album will include orchestral renditions of Grant Kirkhope's level themes and menu-screen music, with excerpts currently available to preview through SoundCloud.
Yoshitaka Amano art exhibition opens in Shinjuku
A free exhibition of artworks by illustrator Yoshitaka Amano has opened at the Shinjuku i-Land Tower building in Tokyo. The exhibition, taking place during Golden Week and featuring drawings of Vampire Hunter D, as well as concept art from installments in the Final Fantasy game series, will run until Tuesday, May 7.
Grant Kirkhope shares Perfect Dark soundtrack
Perfect Dark Dual CD Soundtrack, music from the Nintendo 64 first-person shooter by Rare, is now available to download for "name your price" through Bandcamp. The 36-track digital soundtrack, first released on compact disc in 2000, is composed by Grant Kirkhope, Graeme Norgate and Dave Clynick.
Diskette Deluxe's My Amiga vol. 1 on Bandcamp
My Amiga vol. 1 by indie game composer Rutger Muller is now available for "name your price" through the Diskette Deluxe Bandcamp page. The album is inspired by the Commodore Amiga, the musician writes, from the prog of Chris Huelsbeck and funk of Martin Iveson, to the house music of Barry Leitch and the melodies of David Whittaker.
TWEWY Crossover ~ Tribute album samples online
Square Enix has uploaded three lengthy excerpts from The World Ends With You Crossover ~ Tribute, an album due for release on June 19 in Japan, featuring music from the GREE social game and November TWEWY concert. "Revelation" and "March On" are composed by Takeharu Ishimoto and performed by series vocalist Sawa.

Game-inspired netlabel GameChops has published World 1-2 through Bandcamp, an album of original and arranged music produced by Koopa Soundworks. Participating artists include game composers Manami Matsumae, Keiji Yamagishi, Akira Yamaoka, Austin Wintory, Jessica Curry and Jeramiah Ross, aka Module.
Ninja Gaiden's Yamagishi scores Fluffy for iPhone
Ninja Gaiden composer Keiji Yamagishi has provided the music score for developer Vanguard's platforming iPhone app Fluffy. "The reason I chose Fluffy," the composer says, "is that I have never written music for a cute fantasy action game before, though I've long been interested in giving it a go."
Richard Jacques shares The Realm trailer theme
Point-and-click adventure title The Realm, designed by UK developers Atomhawk Design and Lantern Interactive, is currently seeking crowfdunding. 007 Blood Stone composer Richard Jacques has shared the trailer theme through SoundCloud and spoken on his goals for the score in an interview uploaded to YouTube.
Module of Shatter scores Robot Unicorn Attack 2
Jeramiah Ross (Module) was nominated for an Excellence in Audio award for his score to Sidhe's independently developed PlayStation Network title Shatter. The New Zealand-based musician has partnered with Adult Swim to score Robot Unicorn Attack 2, currently free to download for iOS mobile devices.

Square Enix's Chocobo Sound Effects Collection CD has been made available for sale exclusively at the Artnia Store, located at the company's new offices in Nishi Shinjuku. The 500 yen limited edition release includes 99 sound files, full of chocobo kweh's and moogle kupo's from throughout the Final Fantasy game series.
Surgeon Simulator 2013 soundtrack on Bandcamp
Artist duo Black Heron (Leo Chilcott and Murugan Thiruchelvam) has produced the soundtrack to Surgeon Simulator 2013, designed by independent developer Bossa Studios. The eight-track album is available to stream in full through Bandcamp, with piano sheet music available online for the music track "Flatline."
