IGF finalist Jessica Curry will present on her music score for Dear Esther at the 2013 Game Developers Conference. Her lecture, entitled "Creating Powerful Scores with Limited Resources," will delve into the backround music's "emotional power and innovative fusion of digital effects and live instrumentation."

Final Fantasy All the Bravest harkens back to SNES
Square Enix has unveiled Final Fantasy: All The Bravest, a casual game centering on Super Nintendo era Active Time Battles, incorporating sprite-based characters from throughout the series. The iPhone and iPad title includes a musical library of 30 tracks, mostly battle themes, from previous console titles.
Parallel Processing by Danimal Cannon and Zef
Parallel Processing, a collaborative chip music album by Danimal Cannon of the Armcannon cover band and Rokko Chan chipped tracks arranger Zef, is now available to stream in full through Bandcamp. The liner notes explain that the title refers to the joining of two Game Boy processors and the combined efforts of the composers.
Game Music is Alive concert planned for Paris
Wayô Records is following up their successful Masashi Hamauzu and Michiru Oshima acoustic game concert series with Game Music is Alive. Planned for Paris on June 29, the live event will feature music by Philippe Vachey (Alone in the Dark), Christophe Héral (Beyond Good and Evil) and Raphaël Gesqua (Fade to Black).

D3 Publisher has uploaded the soundtrack to Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?!! to SoundCloud. The 35-track Nintendo 3DS score, composed by Jake Kaunfman (Virt) of Retro City Rampage and Double Dragon Neon, features singing by Tommy Pedrini, Cristina Vee and Jessie Seely.
Composer Joe Hisaishi talks Wrath of the White Witch
In the latest behind-the-scenes movie uploaded to publisher Namco Bandai's YouTube Channel, Joe Hisaishi discusses his score for developer Level-5's PlayStation 3 RPG Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. The composer is perhaps best known for his contributions to Princess Mononoke and other Studio Ghibli animated films.
