IndieCade has responded to a copyright notice for unauthorized use of our photographs appearing in their promotional materials. Festival staff had reached out to us for use of our images, agreed to credit the photographer in all instances of use, then downloaded and posted the images without crediting the source.

Nobuo Uematsu's Fantasy Life soundtrack samples

The Avex record label has uploaded 14 samples from the two-disc soundtrack to Level-5's Fantasy Life for the Nintendo 3DS portable console. The original score is composed by Final Fantasy series composer Nobuo Uematsu and features arrangements by Tsutomu Narita and Michio Okamiya of the Earthbound Papas band.

Nerdcore rapper Dr. Awkward joined hip-hop artist Mega Ran on this winter's NES in the West tour. The musician today posted his eight-track Zelda: The Ocarina of Time cover album, entitled "Boy Without a Fairy" to Bandcamp, available to download in your file format of choice for "name your price."

The independent games media event, taking place on March 9 at the FANJ Hall in Kyoto, Japan, was directed by Q-Games producer James Mielke and featured keynotes by the directors of Tokyo Jungle and Deadly Premonition.

Square Enix has partnered with Deadly Premonition developer Access Games on the forthcoming publication of Drakengard 3 for PlayStation 3. NieR and Drakengard director Yoko Taro is heading development, while music for the action role-playing game is being contributed by NieR composer Keiichi Okabe.
