Truthcannon album released by A_Rival
Bay Area musician A_Rival, the composer of Capcom's Street Fighter X Mega Man, has released his first full-length album since 8-Bit Pimp. Truthcannon, available through Bandcamp, features vocal performances by Super Square collaborator Helen Eugene, as well as remixes by Trash80, Abducted By Sharks and bLiNd.
KK and Friends album remixes Animal Crossing
Game-inspired netlabel GameChops is publishing Animal Crossing remix album KK and Friends, a collaboration between arrangers Benjamin Briggs and Ectogemia (Nathan Becker). Two brief excerpts previewing the album release, due out in June on Bandcamp, are currently available to stream online through SoundCloud.
Kunio's Mega Rock pre-party tracks on SoundCloud
Tokyo-based Game Boy artist Kunio (Masuo Yamamoto) has posted a 14-minute selection from his Mega Rock Fan Festa pre-party set, performed at Shinjuku's 16SHOTS game bar. Also available for download from SoundCloud is the musician's Mega Man vs MC Hammer chiptune mashup "E-CAN't Touch This."
HyperDuck releases Knightmare Tower score
HyperDuck SoundWorks of Belfast, Northern Ireland has released the seven-track soundtrack to Knightmare Tower, a free online monster-slicing game by Juicy Beast Studio. The musicians' previous releases include scores to Dust: An Elysian Tail and The Blocks Cometh, also available to stream in full through Bandcamp.
FantomenK posts Rad Raygun 8-bit soundtrack
Swedish chip music ninja FantomenK has posted his soundtrack to Rad Raygun, an '80s style 2D platformer presented in Game Boy shades of monochrome off-green, available through Xbox Indies and Steam. The musician previously arranged Jet Man's stage theme for Rokko Chan Soundtracks, also available through Bandcamp.
Vagrant Story digital soundtrack on iTunes
Square Enix has released the 31-track digital soundtrack to PlayStation 2 action role-playing game Vagrant Story through iTunes, composed by Final Fantasy XII composer Hitoshi Sakimoto. An exhibition of illustrator Akihiko Yoshida's concept art from the game is currently on display at the Artnia Store in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
Mystery Gift: an Original Pokémon Tribute
Mystery Gift, available for "name your price" through Bandcamp, is an all-original album by Benjamin Briggs, designed to sound like a video game soundtrack. What started as an ordinary music project quickly became a full expression of the game cover musician's love for the Pokémon franchise and what it meant to his childhood.

Sony Music's SoundCloud account has posted a thirty minute-excerpt from the soundtrack to Naughty Dog's PlayStation 3 exclusive survival horror title The Last of Us, written by Argentine musician Gustavo Santaolalla. The composer has won two Academy Awards for his scores for the films Brokeback Mountain and Babel.

ＦＺ： ＳＩＤＥ Ｚ, the second official FEZ remix album by composer Disasterpeace, is now available to stream in full on Bandcamp. Arrangements of music from the puzzle/platformer recently launched on Steam have been contributed by game composers Baiyon of PixelJunk Eden, Ben Prunty of FTL and Scattle of Hotline Miami.
Power Glove releases Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon score
Australian Dolph Lundgren tribute band Power Glove has released the soundtrack to Ubisoft's Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon through iTunes, with four excerpts available to stream through SoundCloud. The download title grafts onto the environs of Far Cry 3 an '80s action flick setting oozing with parody.
Anamanaguchi Endless Fantasy album crowdfunded
Anamanaguchi's Endless Fantasy album, featuring dance music created using hacked Game Boys and Famicom consoles, has reached its funding goal on Kickstarter. Backer rewards include the chip rock album as a digital download, on compact disc, in a USB drive together with music videos, as well as limited edition vinyl.
DJ Kaya's Military Tune EP remixes PS1 era Square
DJ Kaya has released an EP of PlayStation era Square remixes through iTunes, entitled Military Tune Lost Memories. "A Chance Meeting" from Threads of Fate and "Manifold Irons" from Front Mission first appeared on Square Enix's 2012 Tokyo Game Show Sampler CD and on the digital soundtrack to Front Mission Evolved.
Banjo-Kazooie Symphony arrange album announced
The Blake Robinson Synthetic Orchestra responsible for last month's Super Metroid Symphony album will be releasing Banjo-Kazooie Symphony on May 31. The arrange album will include orchestral renditions of Grant Kirkhope's level themes and menu-screen music, with excerpts currently available to preview through SoundCloud.
