Steam database listings elicit Dyad PC reveal

NeoGAF poster Stumpokapow posted a slew of unusual Steam Apps Database listings, including a purported PC release for PlayStation Network psychedelic racer Dyad. Developer Shawn McGrath has responded by formally (through a stream-of-consciousness YouTube vlog) confirming the port's planned release in March.

Soul Sacrifice main theme orchestral video

Sony has posted a three-minute video documenting the orchestral performance of the main theme to Soul Sacrifice, composed by Yasunori Mitsuda and conducted by Wataru Hokoyama. The action role-playing game is due out March 7 in Japan, exclusively for the PlayStation Vita portable console.

Radlib and The C-Men releases on 8bitpeoples

The Blip Festival's 8bitpeoples chip music netlabel has released two new albums, available for free download. Radlib's 2 Le Chip 2 Quit offers FM synthesis remixes of Bit Shifter, Trash80, cTrix and Minusbaby tracks, while The C-Men don their moniker Poke-1,170 for MSX Console compositions on their album Virtigo.

MAGFest Presents: Game Over Austin live on Ustream

Derris-Kharlan releases Time Surfer soundtrack

Melbourne-based game composer Derris-Kharlan (Nathan Antony) has released the three-track soundtrack to the iOS title Time Surfer, developed by Kumobius. Available to stream in full and purchase in your file format of choice through Bandcamp, the album is mastered by cTrix and includes cover design by James Greenaway.

Super Metroid Symphony album slated for March

Blake Robinson of the Synthetic Orchestra will release his Super Metroid Symphony arrange album on March 19, featuring music from the Super Nintendo game composed by Kenji Yamamoto and Minako Hamano. Norfair and Spore-Spawn miniboss themes are currently streaming on the musician's SoundCloud page.

Brent Kennedy plays Binding of Isaac Piano Collection

Mashup artist DJ Nerd42 of Chrono Tied has posted the White Materia mixtape for free download, combining Final Fantasy VII rap vocals by Random, aka Mega Ran, beats by Lost Perception and sampled sounds by famous artists. The Turks meet Men in Black, and Cid Highwind flies away Lenny Kravitz-style, in this irreverent pastiche.

Robokabuto radio program on Noise Channel

The latest installment of the Noise Channel radio program features chip music tracks from Rokko Chan arranger Robokabuto's album "Robokabuto;Notes ZeroPage," published by Dengaku Records. Consumers FAMI-MODE 2013 DJ set on SoundCloud

BAB and Ishii of the chip music group Consumers have uploaded their half-hour videogame music DJ set from the weekend's FAMI-MODE 2013 festival. Recorded live at Star Pine's Cafe in Kichijouji, the music track blends in assorted hoots and hollers from the audience surrounding the turntable.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta music preview

Square Enix has uploaded a preview of Limsa Lominsa territory music from the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta. Music for the massively multiplayer online RPG, due to relaunch in mid-2013 on PCs and PlayStation 3, is by in-house composers Naoshi Mizuta, Ryo Yamazaki, Tsuyoshi Sekito and Masayoshi Soken.

Laura Shigihara (Supershigi on YouTube), designer of the independently developed role-playing game Melolune, has uploaded a vocal arrangement of "Schala's Theme" from Chrono Trigger in celebration of composer Yasunori Mitsuda's birthday. The video follows the musician's recent Skyward Sword cover, sung in Hylian.

Kian How Yoa scores American McGee's Akaneiro

Alice: Madness Returns designer American McGee of developer Spicy Horse is funding his latest twisted fairytale videogame through the crowdfunding website Kickstarter. Akaneiro: Demon Hunters features a score by Kian How Yoa influenced by traditional Japanese music, which can be sampled on SoundCloud.

Swery's GDC presentation on Deadly Premonition

Director Hidetaka "SWERY" Suehiro presents "Game Design in the Coffee" at the 2011 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, California. The talk on the making of Deadly Premonition, whose Director's Cut edition is due out in April for PlayStation 3, is free to view on the GDC Vault website.
