We had the chance to speak with composer David Wise to hear about the creation of the independent game's soundtrack, which incorporates the use of traditional Japanese instrumentation.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Remaster has been announced for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, marking the debut of the role-playing game in English-language territories. Music for the console port and its free-to-play mobile game companion piece is by Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII composer Takeharu Ishimoto.

Square Enix Presents has posted a recorded performance of Final Fantasy XI acoustic cover band Nanaa Mihgo's, uploaded to YouTube to coincide with E3. A mix of previously seen and unseen footage thirty minutes in length, music is by Naoshi Mizuta on bass, Machi Okabe on violin and Takuro Iga on piano.

Square Enix has posted the E3 trailer for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call in anticipation of the press event in Los Angeles, featuring music compositions by series composer Nobuo Uematsu. The Nintendo 3DS rhythm game is due for release on September 16 in North America, including 221 music tracks.
