Transfiguration, an album arranging Austin Wintory's Journey themes for the piano, is now available to stream in full online via the composer's Bandcamp page. Music from the PlayStation 3 title has been performed by concert pianist Robert Thies and arranged by Laura Intravia, with jacket design by art director by Matt Nava.

My Famicase Exhibition 2014 has opened at the METEOR game culture shop located in Kichijouji, Tokyo. The annual showing of fictional 8-bit game cartridges this time includes original designs imagined by chiptune artists Kplecraft, KUNIO, Smallest, BOKKADENcI and FAMICO-MAN. The art show will run until the end of May.

Tokyo-based chip musician Hige Driver has scored the soundtrack to smartphone role-playing game Magic Gunners, available for iPhone and Android smartphone devices in Japan. The musician's Kiss Me EP, a collaboration with the MOtOLOiD collective, debuted last week and can be sampled online.

Canadian singer-songwriter Coeur de Pirate has released the soundtrack to Ubisoft Montreal's Child of Light, available to stream in full through Bandcamp. A turn-based role-playing game set in the mythical kingdom of Lemuria, English voice over narration in verse and rhyme has been paired with Yoshitaka Amano concept art.

This weekend Capcom Japan released the Monster Hunter Frontier G two-disc soundtrack album by Street Fighter IV composer Hideyuki Fukasawa, "Eicheph" on twitter. The musician, whose scores include Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Street Fighter X Tekken, performs modular synthesizers in Tokyo as part of the Denshi Kaimen group.

Mega Man composer Manami Matsumae has joined Owlboy's Jonathan Geer in writing original music for action RPG Heart Forth, Alicia, developed by Mexican filmmaker Alonso Martin. Matsumae plans on drawing from her experience on scoring Dragon Quest Swords in her contributions to the 2D indie game.
