Developer Arc System Works chose their BlueFes 2012 summer event to unveil the upcoming fighter BlazBlue Chronophantasma, which is being designed by the Project "BB" Team.

For release in arcades this winter in Japan, a three-minute reveal trailer is available to view on YouTube. Music for previous installments Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift is by Guilty Gear series composer Daisuke Ishiwatari.
