Mega Ran and Sammus play Ithaca, NY on July 28

Teacher-rapper-gamers Mega Ran and Sammus will be playing a live show at the Pixel Lounge in Ithaca, New York on July 28.

The Sammus 13-track album M'other Brain debuted on Bandcamp late last month as a best-selling album in the category of hip-hop. In a recent interview the musician counted as influences Radiohead, Daft Punk, Weezer, Green Day, Nirvana, Bob Marley, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Street Fighter EX 2.

The song "Games & Cartoons," which makes reference to Star Fox, Metroid and Squaresoft, is currently free to download in mp3 format from SoundCloud.
